Hope In A Jar

hope in a jar

I’m pushing the big 3-0, I still have a few years to go but nonetheless I don’t want to regret not having done the best I could when the first wrinkles and age spots start to appear. That’s the reason why I recently adopted a more strict skincare regimen (thank you new year resolutions!).

Every night before going to sleep I remove my make-up, apply serum and a good night cream on my face without forgetting the delicate eye area. And in the morning, after taking a hot shower, I reapply a serum followed by the Hope In A Jar cream from Philosophy.

A couple of weeks ago I stopped by a Philosophy counter at Debenhams. I must admit I felt drawn towards it by the minimalist design and a holistic approach to skincare, products that do good and make you feel good. Every product has an inspiring message on its container to uplift your spirit whilst taking care of skin. I’m a sucker for great design and good looking packaging, so these little details really hit home – I guess deep down we all judge a book by its cover, don’t we?

After chatting with the lovely lady at the counter, I was sent off with a handful of samples to try at home. Ever since I’ve tried Philosophy products, I’ve been addicted. So I came back the other day and bought the Hope In A Jar day cream, and I’ve got my mind set on the Time In A Bottle serum too, so maybe that will be my next purchase.

Hope In A Jar is lightweight daily moisturiser that hydrates and provides antioxidant protection while improving skin texture and tone, leaving it smooth and radiant.
It’s a high-performing moisturiser that contains lactic acid, a gentle alpha hydroxy acid that helps remove surface dead skin cells and beta-glucan to help give your skin a healthy, rosy glow.

I definitely feel my skin a lot smoother and looking less dull, so if you’re looking for a new day cream this is surely one to consider.

  1. Sou como tu – adoro designs minimalistas e sou automaticamente atraída para eles. Um Hope in a Jar ficaria debaixo do meu olho – mas diz-me, achas que esse daily cream funcionaria bem em pele mista?

    1. A minha pele e’ normal a mista e por ter uma textura tao levezinha, tipo souffle, adequa-se mesmo bem. So’ posso falar pela minha experiencia, mas estou mesmo a adorar usar este creme. x

    1. Sorry to hear your didn’t like the scent – it’s a shame though because it’s a wonderful cream! I don’t think it has a strong smell, it doesn’t bother me one bit, I actually quite like how it smells 🙂 x

  2. Acho que nunca experimentei nada da Philosophy mas o feedback que tenho da marca é sempre magnífico. Além de que têm um packaging maravilhoso e super apelativo.
