Beauty: bareMinerals Make-Up

You know when suddenly all your make-up seems to come to an end, at the same time? Yeah, I was pretty much running out of loose powder, mascara and eyeliner. Or in other words, pretty much my make-up basics. So, I was pretty convinced I would have to splurge a little. But yesterday, in the end of the day, I came home with a bag full of bargains… Oh, joy!

I’ve never used bareMinerals before, but according to product reviews their face products are made with finely crushed natural minerals, which makes the skin look really natural along with a weightless feel, just like beautiful bare skin. Their loose powders have a broad spectrum SPF15 that physically shields against UVA/UVB rays for year-round sun protection. They don’t test on animals and most of their products don’t use animal derived ingredients, except for their lip gloss and some blushes.

This bareMinerals Bright & Beautiful Collection was probably one the best deals I’ve ever seen in make-up. *drum roll* It only cost me £32, so around €38! It was originally priced at £48, but I was lucky enough to find it on sale. Summing up the value of the 8 products altogether, it would have cost nearly a whopping £125. This lovely box includes:

♥ Original SPF15 Foundation Powder

♥ Prime Time Brightening Foundation Primer

♥ Prime Time Brightening Eyelid  Primer

♥ Smoke EyeColor

♥ Big & Bright Eyeliner in Charcoal

♥ Pink Petal Blush

♥ Natural Lipgloss in Fruit Cocktail

♥ Flawless Application Face Brush

The Flawless Definition mascara was at regular price, 16£.

Do you love discount shopping as much as I do? What was your greatest deal so far?

Have a lovely weekend,

Nesting Inspiration: Wall Decals

The funniest part of moving to a new place is having a blank slate to decorate, especially when you have the right amount of time to think through every room of the house. I’ve been gathering some inspirational pictures for our London nest lately on Pinterest and Fancy.

Especially when you’re renting a place and have previously signed a contract, you have to be careful and don’t drill too many holes on your walls, or ideally, none. So one option you have is to go for for wall decals instead of hanging frames.

Wall decals are usually cut from high quality vinyl. That means when you want to remove to vinyl later on, there will be no damage to the wall or paint unlike many other wall decals on the market which use a permanent adhesive. They can be applied to just about any surface including drywall (your typical interior wall), concrete, glass (mirrors & windows), wood, and metal.

Even though wall decals might sound a little 2008 – you surely remember the vintage floral ornament frenzy, right? -, I’m absolutely loving the functionality and minimalistic component that wall decals can have, also I’m an inspirational quote freak.
I just discovered Simple Shapes store on Etsy, and they provide high quality wall decals for baby nurseries, home and offices at reasonably low prices, and they even have a customised design service in each you can pick the right color tone that matches your home.

I honestly think the Weekly Calendar is perfect for our kitchen, it’s great to take little notes and keep track on chores and upcoming events. Too lovely!

Happy Thursday,

Weekly Awesomeness: Can’t Hug Every Cat, Tweets Around the World & Hard Coders

I know the first week after the Holidays may be a little depressing. The end of Holiday spirit always seems so abrupt to me, right after New Year’s we all seem to rush into our usual routines and hectic lives and forget about all the fun and keeping a relaxed state of mind.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve last done my Weekly Awesomeness wrap up of the best weekly finds on the web, so I gatheredsome fun & interesting links and videos for you to scope during your breaky or lunch break back at work!

HelloGiggles.com is the ultimate entertainment destination for smart, independent and creative females. Everything hosted on the site will be lady-friendly, so visitors need not worry about finding the standard Boys Club content that makes many entertainment sites unappealing to so many of us. Amazingly enough, Hello Giggles is founded by actress/musician Zooey Deschanel, producer Sophia Rossi and writer/Internet Sensation Molly McAller.

Last Saturday we visited Battersea Dogs and Cats Home , which was founded over 150 years ago, making it UK’s oldest and most famous animal rescue centre! Needless to say I got very emotional, not as much as the adorable lady is this video though! ^^

Back To The Future by Irina Werning. Seriously, this is an amazing idea, we should all try and do the same!

Check out this beautiful visualisation of tweets around the world. Did you know Indonesia is the country who tweets the most? 21% of Indonesians are on Twitter, making them the most Twitter-addicted nation!

For all the developer homies who code hard all day and night, enjoy your new anthem! Makes me laugh every time!

Oh, and this time lapse video from NASA is astounding! Earth as you’ve never seen before, with some aurora borealis sights from space.

Have a stellar week you guys!
