Fitness Apps To Help You Get In Shape

FAVOURITE FITNESS APPS

New year, new you. Most of us have made at least one New Year’s resolution, but did  you know that only one in 10 of us will achieve our goal? Don’t let statistics ruin your commitment though, let’s stay motivated guys!

As most people, one of my 2015 resolutions is to lose a little weight and get fit. I put on nearly 3kg (or 6.6 pounds for my British friends) during December and I’m feeling rather unhealthy with all the sugar I ate in the past 4 weeks. I’ve started eating healthy again and being more selective with the food I eat, which will eventually get me to my usual weight, as long as I don’t go crazy on sweets and chips – ahem! Though one of the things I’d like to do more often is exercise.

See, I’ve never really exercised in my life. This isn’t bragging, I’m actually a little ashamed to admit it. I just have a hard time committing to routine tasks that don’t involve seating or laying on the sofa. I could do with some change though. Now that I’ve just turned 27, I notice that my metabolism isn’t the same, so I’d like to be more active for my own good.

According to psychologists, it seems we’re more likely to succeed in our resolutions if we break them into smaller goals that are specific, measurable and time-based. I’ve done some research and found some pretty cool fitness apps that I’ve been using lately that help you manage your nutritional intake based on weight goals, motivate you to exercise and even a workout training challenge.
