A brilliant mind, a pure heart, a fighter and a dreamer. Needless to say Steve Jobs was one of the most inspirational people of our era.
I’m actually sad because we’ve all lost someone who helped our world change to a better place. We lost someone who truly made a difference, followed his dreams and instinct and somehow changed our daily lives and the way we appreciate technology.
«Steve was among the greatest of American innovators – brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.
He transformed our lives, redefined entire industries, and achieved one of the rarest feats in human history: he changed the way each of us sees the world. The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.», quoting President Barack Obama.
Sometimes you really can’t help wonder if there’s truly a God out there… If so how could he be so mean and unfair to spare terrorists and murderers lives and letting the good ones die? Well, inconsistencies of religion.
Aside from being a business man, he remained true to his soul, and I can only quote few of his endearing sayings through his life that will surely enlighten our spirit on this grieving day.
“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful … that’s what matters to me.” – Steve Jobs, Wall Street Journal 1993
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.” [Stanford commencement speech, June 2005]
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” [Stanford commencement speech, June 2005]
Rest in peace Steve, you’ll always be remembered.
