My Saturday morning kicked off with this breakfast bowl of vegan goodness. I always start my mornings with a plant-based breakfast, it’s my rule of thumb.
I don’t usually have time for elaborate breakfasts during weekdays, and even when on weekends, sometimes I just feel like fixing up something quick but nutritious. After all, weekends are for relaxing and savouring life. I enjoy leaving all my worries aside and taking my time to enjoy a simple but oh so delicious breakfast in the sofa.
And I couldn’t be happier as this morning we were blessed with such idillic views of snowflakes falling outside. Even though they were mixed with rain and melted when hit the floor, still such a gorgeous sight, which made today’s breakfast feel a little more special.
Breakfast bowl
Alpro plain yogurt
Organic Strawberries
Organic Raspberries
2 Tbsp Bear Alphabites Multigrain
4 Salted almonds
1 Tbsp Desiccated coconut
1 Tbsp Chia seeds
Always start with a base of yogurt and top it with the fruits, cereals, almonds and at last desiccated coconut and chia seeds. Feel free to use whatever fruits and nuts you have. The fun in breakfast bowls is that you can add whatever you like and get creative!
PS: Can you spot the cat paws? I love how Yoshi always wants to be part of the photo 🙂

i LOVE berries in the morning, noon and night! unfortunately not too many fresh ones this time of year, so we use frozen but they’re often almost as good 🙂
Yea and they’re also much better when they’re in season. But oh well I can’t go without strawberries for more than a week ha!

Yum! I think it’s a great thing to start the day plant based, I’m really trying to cut down on dairy at the moment too so this is ideal! x

I think it’s awesome that you’re trying to reduce your dairy intake, it’s so much better for you 🙂 x
I’ve never tried Alpro yogurt before but that just might have to change! The only vegan yogurt I’ve had before is coconut from So Good.
This bowl looks so good and would be a great way to start any day 🙂

You definitely need to try Alpro, they’re the best yogurts! 🙂 x
This looks delicious, I spotted at the weekend Alpro have some new version of their plain yoghurts, one with coconut the other almond. I had a try of the coconut and liked it 🙂
That’s awesome news! I love coconut-based yogurts, need to track these down. Thanks for letting me know! x
