Are you bored of the usual gym-based yoga classes? I know I am. I’m in dire need to step up my yoga game as lately I’ve been utterly detached from my yoga practice because it doesn’t get me as excited as before. I want something new!
And where’s the best place to experience yoga in a totally new perspective? Right here in the city of London.
You can attend free yoga classes in many parks of the city, which is great during summer. You can even have a go at shoulder stands inside hotpods set up on various rooftops. There’s so much going on. I’m sure you’ll find something in the city that tickles your fancy.
Here’s a roundup of the five coolest yoga classes in London. These should totally go on your bucket list…
The world’s highest yoga class, at The View from the Shard
Definitely not one for those with a fear of heights, the highest yoga classes in the world at over 1,000 ft high give you serious stunning views of the city that stretch out for 40 miles.
Cost: £40 (including goodie bag and viewing time before and after the class)

Anti-Gravity Yoga
Imagine how amazing it must feel to strike yoga poses whilst you’re suspended from the ceiling in a hammock. With several locations across London and being adopted by an array of gyms, Anti-Gravity Yoga is definitely a must-try.

Yoga across the glass floor, at Tower Bridge
Enjoy a unique London experience with Tower Bridge’s sunrise yoga classes across the newly unveiled glass floor of its high-level Walkways, 42 metres above the River Thames. How cool is it that you can see all the traffic underneath you?! Bonus points if the bridge rises while you’re in the class. More dates will be added soon due to high demand – no wonder!

Yoga at the the ArcelorMittal Orbit, East London
Another high-rise yoga class which may be a little more convenient if you live in East London. You have gorgeous panoramic views of the Olympic Park and you can see Canary Wharf’s skyscrapers peaking in the horizon. An epic sunrise view I must say!

A yoga anti gravidade parece o máximo.

Adorei! E conheço alguém que vai gostar de ver este post :)*
Que bom! Fico muito contente, fica a vontade para partilhar Catia 🙂 x
Wow, who knew there were so many yoga options. The anti gravity one & the glass window one sound pretty exciting.

It’s amazing, isn’t it? So many options to choose from! Really want to try the one at the top of the Shard x
Ah these all look so cool!Especially the one in the shard. When I lived in NZ, my uni had a gym which overlooked all the harbour and city. It was amazing as they did dawn sessions, so nice to do yoga with the sun rising! x

According to a friend that has tried 4 of these classes, the one at the Shard is definitely worth the money. Sunrise yoga must be the perfect way to start day, isn’t it? x
I Like your blog very much! I found your posts very interesting! And also I like your beautiful photos! I know that blog requires much time, but keep doing it!
I’ll be happy to see you in my blog!)

Oh my gosh! This is so cool. I used to do yoga, I should really get back into it, and some of these classes look fantastic!

Thanks Naomi! I was really into yoga during November and December and then I started doing regular workouts at home and didn’t feel the need to do yoga, also the class I was attending didn’t really excite me that much. These are pretty rad though! x
parece demais 😀

Anti-gravity yoga looks amazing! I agree that even with something as wonderful as yoga, you sometimes get in a rut. These all look like great options to get out of it, too bad London is so far away 🙁 Cool post!

I’m sure there must be cool classes near you, no? I’ve been doing yoga at home whenever I feel like it, there are some cool tutorials on YouTube. 😉
I had no idea about that one in Tower Bridge! I think I HAVE to try that : )
It must be so awesome to have that view underneath you! 😀 x
Oh my goodness! The World’s Highest Yoga Class looks a bit scary, I don’t know how I would go relaxing at that height!
The Secret Yoga Club is a cool idea though, it almost feels exclusive because you really have to already be on the inside to know where it will “pop up” next.
Yoga Clothes
I’d love to try the class in the Shard only because of the view, it’s somewhat scary but it must be so awesome! x
Spectacular view below, Rita! I wish to go back to my Yoga class here in Melbourne. xoxo
