It was our last weekend in Lisbon before our big move to London, so we decided to visit Cascais, a small coastal town about 30km away.

My lovey’s sister gave us an experience gift pack for Christmas and since then we had been saving the voucher for a special occasion. We’ve chosen the Segway Love Experience, and boy, it was so much fun! For about an hour and a half we rode our Segways from Cascais towards the Guincho beach, racing together like crazy near the cliffs along the shore. I didn’t know there was an off-road Segway, and that they could speed up to 38kph!
As you’d expect, it’s surprisingly easy to drive. You just have to lean slightly forward or backward. To turn left or right, the rider simply moves the handlebars left or right. You get the sense of power and speed, yet you also feel a sense of safety and absolute control. It all feels natural, safe, and instinctive. I’d totally buy one if I was filthy rich and didn’t have any clue on how to spend my money.

We caught some stunning views by the cliffy Atlantic shore and played with the sunsetey light at the end of such a perfect day. Amazing souvenir photographs and such a great way to bid farewell to the good ol’ sunny Lisbon!
